Cats and Dogs Set to Take Over New York
GoPetFriendly.com is excited to be the Official Pet Travel Website and sponsor of the American Kennel Club and Cat Fanciers’ Association’s Meet the Breeds™ event in New York City! Meet the Breeds is the world’s largest gathering of dogs and cats – there will be more than 1,000 in attendance!
The event promotes responsible pet ownership by giving pet lovers the opportunity to meet different breeds and learn about their specific needs. Booths are appropriately decorated for the dog and cat breeds. Last year there were Giant Mastiffs in a Medieval castle, Siamese cats depicting a scene from Lady and the Tramp, Norwegian Elkhounds on a Viking ship, and Russian Blue cats set in an Imperial Palace.
Attendees can also meet experts in training, grooming, nutrition and more. Of course, it wouldn’t be New York if there wasn’t shopping … so more than 100 vendors will be selling everything from collars to cleaning products. And action in the rings will include Agility, Rally, Flyball, Frisbee skills and demonstrations by the NYC Police K9s.
Amy and I will be easy to find – just look for the double booth showcasing the “mini-me” version of the GoPetFriendly Winnebago. We’ll also be hosting the Road Trip Around Meet the Breeds, giving attendees the opportunity to win hundreds of dollars in prizes!
Meet the Breeds will be held at the Javits Center in New York City on October 16-17, 2010. Tickets are available at www.meetthebreeds.com.
But, don’t pull out your credit card just yet – we’re going to give you the chance to win a trip to Meet the Breeds! Get the details on Monday!
