Just When They Thought It Couldn’t Get Better

So we’ve been in the Seneca and Cayuga Lakes area of the Finger Lakes wine country. Ty and Buster have been spoiled by the hospitality of several dog friendly wineries … and quite frankly, we’ve been spoiled by their stellar behavior. How does one reward?

On our way to Sampson State Park, we stopped at Cayuga Lake Creamery on Route 89 in Interlaken. We heard this place welcomed pets, and they did not disappoint. Ice cream is the just perfect treat on a warm afternoon for those on two feet or four.

PS – Before we stopped for ice cream, we went hiking at Taughannock Falls State Park in Ulysses. You might think we do a lot of hiking with the boys – and you’re right. Tired dogs are good dogs! Anyway, at 215 feet Taughannock Falls is one of the largest single drop water falls east of the Rockies (33 feet taller than Niagara Falls, though it doesn’t have near the volume of water … but still).

It is so lovely up there. I could move there in a minute, but it does get cold in the winter. I went to the same creamery, and is was wonderful. Lucky you!

How on earth did you get the dogs to sit so nicely with ice cream right infront of their noses?
